Research and Development Laboratory
for the preparation of high-end prototypes from salaries
for electronics and engineering
Through the project, TERZET spol. s r.o. wants to enable and accelerate the creation of research and development centre - a laboratory for the design/development and realisation of high-end plastic prototypes for manufacturing industry, especially for electronics and mechanical engineering. The laboratory will be fully equipped with new cutting-edge technology based on the application of "3D printing" (stereolithography) and silicon moulding technology. The project focuses on new technologies such as "rapid prototyping" and is based mainly on the purchase of a design system, two basic devices for prototyping, one dimensional inspection device and a set of smaller devices and tools for measuring and machining to enable the development of jigs. The technology is almost zero-waste and is environmentally friendly. The actual development work will be carried out in-house staff and specific development tasks in cooperation with external entities.
Within the individual stages of the project, the following investments will be implemented:
- building modifications for the laboratory
- Acquisition of Stereolithograph (3D Printer)
- Acquisition of the Vacuum Casting System
- Acquisition of a CAD-CAM design system

Development of the development centre
Within the framework of the project, a new generation of 3D multimaterial printer (Polyjet principle) was purchased in a version enabling 3-component printing. This is the so-called 3K printing, which is the possibility of simultaneous printing of three materials and their combinations, both individual parts and one part from three different materials - a unique in the field of Rapid Prototyping, and on a global scale. The acquisition of this technology has significantly expanded the customer offer in terms of the quality of materials for prototype parts, while at the same time taking the technological maturity of the laboratory to a new level. In addition, a 3D scanner for non-contact measurement and scanning of free surfaces was acquired, which allows scanning even very rugged and complicated objects, which is very limited with commonly used touch probes in the required precision of engineering production with incomparably worse accuracy and in times an order of magnitude higher. The acquisition of this technology has led to a significant improvement in efficiency and precision, as well as to the possibility of applying so-called Reverse Engeneering.
The expected benefits of the project are:
- Increased competitiveness
- supplementing, extending and improving the quality of activities
- expanding the range of customers
- expansion of the offer in the field of materials for prototype parts
- expansion of the company's technological equipment
- support for the development of innovation potential
- performance and productivity growth
- efficiency growth
